Religioner
The other day, I heard a congregation of people screaming their prophet's name like they were being beaten or expectant of a reward at the end.
What do you think the reward might be? Of course, some sort of favour from the leader, provided he knows about it though.
Majority of churches and mosques today have become moneymaking ventures that just want to sap their oblivious attendees, whereas the money is not used for anything benefitting the church or mosque. It is as bad as some resorting to voodoo gan.
And yet, people are still being enslaved spiritually, believing in every lock, stock and barrel that prophesies to them. The miracle mentality is very much still active.
They believe if they just do what the prophet says, everything would fall into place.
Wait oo, I am not saying some prophecies are not usually true but you shouldn’t just be over reliant on them.
Take for example, a lady who has been told that by her 25th birthday, she would be the richest woman in her country. She is 19 presently, so she has like 6 years before this comes to past.
Do you think if she just sits idle, expecting the money to come in six years' time, it would come to past?
All I am trying to say in essence is that don’t be gullible and believe every thing.
You know truly well deep in your hearts that what this so called prophet is telling you cannot be true, and you are probably straying from the Godly path by taking it hook, line and sinker yet you go on.
You are essentially hooked to him and can’t stop admiring him, automatically a zealot. It has got to the point that even when you hear of his misdeeds, you excuse them.
Continue oo, shogbo.
Knowing God for yourself, that is the best way to live.
Of course, within all these bad eggs, some still portray the true and pious religion from our respective books, the Quran and the Bible.
I reckon even the bad eggs sef must have been honest do-gooders at some point but greed let them go haywire.
Hello, you the always right crew. You are not left behind oo.
Your thinking of being perfect and just, unblemished and casting aspersions on the others because apparently to you, they are sinning.
Yeah, that might be right actually but who are you to judge?
The best thing you can do that you would even earn rewards from is to try and guide them to the right path.
It is up to them to listen, at least you know you tried your best.
I come in peace.
